As residents’ transportation options decrease, outings become less frequent, leading to various problems such as the decline of the town's economic activity, fewer opportunities for communication, and worsening health among the elderly. To address these issues, Asahi Town in Toyama Prefecture developed “PoHUNT,” a community revitalization initiative designed to encourage mobility. On the LINE MINI App, users can earn points by scanning QR codes installed at commercial facilities and viewing health-related information. These points can then be used to enter lucky draws or participate in regional competitions, creating a system that gamifies mobility and health-related activities. By integrating with \"Nokkaru Asahimachi,\" a ride-sharing public transportation service launched in 2020, the initiative simultaneously provides transportation options and generates transportation demand, with the aim of revitalizing the town.",[58,59,61],"h3",{"id":60},"service-image","Image",[24,63,64],{},[27,65],{"alt":12,"src":66},"/media/line-mini-app/technicalcase/hakuhodo/en/hakuhodo_screenshot.webp",[42,68],{},[50,70,72],{"id":71},"integration-with-line","Integration with LINE",[58,74,76],{"id":75},"line-integration","Using LINE to reach users of all ages in their daily lives",[24,78,79],{},"For this initiative, it was important to design a digital service that could be used by all residents, including the elderly. While many seniors may not be fully comfortable using smartphones, a high proportion of them already use LINE, which helps lower both learning and psychological barriers. Due to the number of functions to be provided, we considered developing the LINE MINI App components as a native app. However, through continued discussions with residents, we decided to implement everything on LINE, focusing on a user-friendly UI/UX for all generations. As a result, the initiative saw participation from many users, including those in their 80s. In addition, we emphasized not only user registration but also continued engagement. In a town with a population of 10,000, as many as 1,000 residents participated in a month. Survey results showed that the initiative helped raise health awareness and encouraged people to move around, earning high praise from administrative authorities. Additionally, when we later rolled out an initiative for tourists based on PoHUNT, more than 2,000 people participated, demonstrating its effectiveness from a tourism perspective as well.
